5J Summer Term

The final term of the academic year! I cannot believe how quick this year has gone. It was lovely to welcome the children back after Easter and get straight back into learning. The children who did Bikeability seemed to really enjoy the experience. We will be going on our trip next Thursday (27th April) to Liverpool. 

How parents/carers can support learning at home:

Ideally, your child should read with an adult daily. Discussing what your child has read can really help ensure they have understood what they have read and develop their comprehension skills.

Please return reading books and Reading Records to school every day.

Help your child to learn the relevant times tables and practise spellings, ready for a test on a Tuesday.

Spellings and homework will be sent home every Thursday and will need to be returned on a Tuesday (you can of course send it in on the Friday or the Monday early).

Find books and articles related to this term’s topics to build on the children’s learning in school.

P.E. is on a Monday and a Wednesday.
