New Starters 2020

Welcome to The Arches Community Primary School.

What a very different year we have had so far... I hope all the children and families are well. Well, this is a very different way in which we would be introducing ourselves to you usually. We thought it would be a nice way for you to gain some information prior to Septemeber about starting school and give you and your child a talking point before starting.

Everything this year is a little different to other years, however your child is at the heart of the transition. We have been behind the scenes discussing your child with their current provider and setting up things in preparation for their arrival.

We cannot wait to meet your child and find out all about them.... In the meantime, here's a little bit about us...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the team who will be working within Foundation Stage next year.

It was really lovely seeing some of the children today whilst dropping off the Jitter Glitter. We have been working hard in the classroom getting it ready for your return...which we are VERY excited for. Here are some photos of the different areas within the classroom. We ensure that we have lots of different areas that link to the child's interests and the seven areas of learning.

As well as our inside classroom, we have an outdoor classroom that the children are able to access on a daily basis.

This is our outdoor space from the main school to our building. This is where we will be playing outside at lunchtime.

Transition into school is a very special milestone in your child’s development. Your child will have grown in confidence and ability and is now ready to develop all the skills needed for the new challenge of school.
