Welcome to 2CW

We have lots of fun and exciting learning planned for our fabulous Year 2 learners this term!

We hope the information will help you support your child’s learning!

Key Information

Home Reading

Parents are invited to an information meeting about home reading on Wednesday the 20th September in the main school hall. Home reading books will be going home on Friday 22nd September.

Please return reading books and reading records to school on Mondays. New books will be handed out on a Friday. Children will get one phonetically decodable book and a reading for pleasure book.

Home learning will be sent out every Thursday and should be returned by the following Tuesday.

PE

Children need to bring in a P.E. kit every Tuesday. Please make sure your child has a bag with a kit consisting of a clean school polo shirt, black pumps and black shorts or leggings. School hoodies can be worn for PE when the weather is cooler.

Children can bring in a water bottle. This will be sent home daily so that it can be cleaned. In hot weather, please ensure they have sun cream on before school and bring a hat.
