Welcome to Year 5!
Our fantastic Year 5 pupils have made a great start to the Autumn Term!
We have lots of exciting learning opportunities planned for this half term! To find out what we have planned and ways in which you can support your child at home please download the Year 5 Curriculum Leaflet for the Autumn Term attached at the bottom of the page. We hope the information will help support your child's learning!
How parents/carers can support learning at home:
Ideally, your child should read daily. Discussing what your child has read can really help ensure they have understood what they have read and develop their comprehension skills.
Find books and articles related to this term’s topics to build on the children’s learning in school.
Ensure your child completes any home learning activities and returns them to school on time.
Spellings and homework will be sent home every Thursday and will need to be returned on a Tuesday (you can of course send it in early on the Friday or the Monday).
P.E. is on a Monday and a Wednesday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on these days.
Our class assembly for the Autumn Term is on Friday the 22nd of September. Further information will be sent out beforehand.
If you have any questions or queries please don't hesitate to get in touch via the school phone number or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
