Remote Learning
Our lockdown curriculum has been designed to allow children to consolidate their core learning skills across subjects and make further progress towards their academic targets. Through our remote learning provision, we will continue to follow our adapted curriculum which was put in place in September 2020.
During the period of school closure that began on 5th January 2021, all children at home are expected to access remote learning via the Seesaw learning platform. Following the school closures for most, The Arches will be tailoring its curriculum to meet the needs of its children to ensure learning missed is thoroughly recapped, rapidly progressing children to where they need to be. In line with the Department for Education guidance, a focus will be placed on looking at previous learning carried out, identifying any potential gaps in an effort to address these and consolidate core skills, providing children with the knowledge needed to progress further.
This can be accessed via https://web.seesaw.me/ and children should have their personal logins already to access this learning platform. If you do not have your child's login, please contact your class teacher for this information.
This learning will be uploaded on a daily basis for all children. It is to be accessed between the hours of 9am and 3pm and is to be completed to a high standard. Teachers will be providing feedback on a daily basis, marking work and providing feedback on pieces. All children will have learning set that is appropriately differentiated and appropriate for their age and stage.
School have ensured that all learners have access to appropriate technology and sufficent WIFI to allow them to complete their daily remote learning. Teachers are in regular contact with families to ensure adequate support is provided and all families have regular contact from school to continue to support with their at home online learning.
