PSHE

NJ.jpg

Welcome to our school PSHE page. My name is Miss Johnson and I have the pleasure of being the PSHE leader for school. We teach PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) to help our pupils develop the knowledge, skills, and values they need to lead healthy, safe, and responsible lives. It supports their emotional well-being, helps them build positive relationships, and prepares them for life beyond the classroom—both personally and professionally. Through PSHE, our pupils learn about topics such as mental health, relationships, financial literacy, and citizenship, empowering them to make informed choices and contribute positively to society.

How do we teach PSHE?

Our approach is grounded in the belief that PSHE is most impactful when it is:

-Consistent: taught frequently across school in a sequenced approach through My Happy Mind Plus.

-Relevant: it is adapted to meet the needs of cohorts and individual learners.

-Engaging: supported by high-quality, age-appropriate resources.

Please see below for our long term overview.
